Bob developed this fly so he had an imitation of the stone catfish and other baby catfish that were once abundant in the waters he fished. Locals named them (MAD TOMS). The shape and form
of the fly also imitates many other bottom dwelling food forms. Fly anglers
fishing sink tips and full sinking lines catch many of the large bass.
The Mad tom can also be used with the high stick bottom drifting method.
The smallest size has accounted for many trout also.
